I be that sistah
that can't be held back.
My essence will always remain in tact.
I be that radical sistah
that stands up for justice
everything around me has substance.
I be that free thinker
that will never remain in a box
there are many dimensions to me
that need to be free
trust me.
I be that feminist
that knows that being a wombman
is power that can not be contained or controlled
but celebrated.
I be that sistah
that is a mother
that nurtures and loves her seeds
they are extensions of me.
I be that natural sistah
that embraces and loves my kinky, locked hair
harming and perming
my crown will never
be an option
why should I deny
and LYE about my birthright
I live and stand in truth.
