The Heart Does Not Bend by Makeda Silvera. I have always found this book cover stunning! I love the richness of the skin tone and how the red flower contrast with the black background. I remember reading this book with a book-club Terri from Browngirl Book Speak had started a few years ago. We had a wonderful discussion about this book.
